Three days to go

Three days to go: The flat is a mess. We still have no tckets for the first leg of the trip. We haven't packed. We haven't said goodbyes to friends and family. We have no necessary currencies.

Some might say that this is not the most promising start to a trip that is supposed to last for several months and stretch from Tampere to Beijing, and then even further if we still have some money left. I'm not too worried though, this is how we seem to be doing things on regular basis. At least it will be interesting to see what happens when two people who would fail spectacularly in an attempt to organise a piss up in brewery try to embark on a world trip. I reckon we will make it, even if at the moment it seems that we will struggle to even get out of Finland.

On a more positive note, we have managed to get the visas and jabs needed for the trip. That wasn't a walk in the park though. My shoulders are like Swiss cheese after all the jabs, and my nerves need more alcohol than my liver can take just to get over the stress from the bureaucracy involved in getting the visas. But we managed, I think that's a good start.

I guess I should get back to panicing about the lack of preparations for the trip, rather than write about it. I'm not sure if it will be any more fruitful but at least I look like I'm doing something sensible. Perhaps.
